No 2012 Sequoia Parking Assist?
I just purchased a 2012 SR5 Sequoia and after taking ownership found out there was no parking assist sonar installed as advertised in the brochure and also on-line. Does anyone had this happen and know what to do? The dealer said they would put one in but is is aftermarket and they want $500.
Thanks

The mirrors can't see what's directly behind you like a child or even a sports car. Unfortunaltely both of these have happened to us and it isn't very funny. The sonar is a very good feature on a vehicle of this size. I am looking for a way of equiping my new and expensive SUV with this 'advertised' feature without added expense. It was one of the reasons I purchased it.

If you cant see directly behind you why did you buy it? talk to the dealer about what you need, and if that doesn't help look into a back up camera.

Sounds like someone signed on the dotted line in haste and didn't fully inspect the car they were buying.
If the car you bought was supposed to have the feature then make them add it but if it's not in the paperwork you're SOL I suppose.
I can't imagine one of those land grocery getter soccer mom yachts without it. My wife's 2011 SR5 4Runner has it.
