Very economical 8 seater, 37 MPG.

In Europe (UK) we call this the LC 120 series.

I am an American, a patriot and darn happy to be in this country but for YEARS I have been wondering why the hell we can't get these vehicles in the US. It's silly. OK, some of it was the grade of diesel we had before but now we have the European-grade diesel at the pumps. I'd love a little 4 banger diesel for my truck. It would get great mileage and have double the torque my gas engine produces.

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Nice wheels! Are you actually going to take it off road?

New Suv With D4d

UK VETTE,

I would really like to know more about your new ride, what it's worth
Specs etc. Any chance you might post some pics of your engine bay??
I'm on the hunt for a diesel powerplant at the moment and want to be
sure I am checking all leads. What else (Diesel) does toyota offer in the
U.K.?

CHEERS

That thing is pretty neat. 37MPG sure would help offset the $3.99/Gallon diesel here in the US. I can't wait for those to come across the pond. Can you imagine if Banks made chips, and stuff for those???

actually the L series that they offered in the hilux diesels (1L and 2L 2.2L and 2.4L) have less hp and torque than the 22RE, though they are more durable (that says a LOT) and get better mileage

Welcome to Yotatech!

That's a sharp truck.

It looks alot like the Lexus GX body style. The number usually indicates the engine size (470 = 4.7L)

The 05 GX's were rated at 15/19 MPG city/highway over here. I'd say you're the winner in that catagory!
