Im getting new tires
Hey all I'm getting new tires!!! I'm getting BFG AT 33x950. They should look bada$$. So I will be getting rid of my old tires if anyone has interest. They are BFG longtrails 31x1050 with 35% tread left. I swear these tires will not wear out.

I just got rid of my Rugged Trail for ATs. Taking it on an extended off-road camping trip this weekend. I hope there is not any rocks or mud or water crossings.

I had a wonderful weekend in the mountains. It allowed me to test the BFG ATs that I had installed last week. I can definitely say they saved me some major anguish.
I drove down a forest road that quickly turned to some deep muddy ruts filled with water after two days of rain. Going down a slight incline the truck handled real well. We found a potential camp site but after traversing the ruts I wanted to make sure I could get back out. And thinking if there is more rain (likely) it might get worse. So I turned around and started to head back out. I lost forward momentum once, then quickly backed up (didn't want it to start sinking) then got going forward again. Trees about 12" on either side and bouncing in the mud filled rut I thought was going to take out a tree with my brand new truck, not a pleasant thought. But we made it through without incidence. I truly believe without the ATs I would have been stuck, with only a shovel and the stock jack.
We ended up finding another camp site, and watched it rain for the next two days.
I am extremely pleased with the way the Tundra handled the mud. It also had a very nice feel and decent ride on the rocky forest roads. The manueverbility and handling of the Tundra is great.
