When changing my alternator the plug in the back broke. The plastic was cracked and just crumbled leaving me with just the metal pins and wires. i'm having a real problem finding the plug. Nobody seems to have it. I went to the salvage yard and this plug had already been cut off on all the . So apparently this is a somewhat common problem for many.
i need help finding a plug but another worry is which wire goes in what position on the plug. I can't find anything anywhere.
The color of my wires are: 1 - black will small red stripe. 2 - white with small red stripe. 3 - yellow.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
After much searching I finally came up with a solution to getting the wiring layout for the alternator plug. A pin out diagram was forwarded to mewhich when coupled with the schematic drawing which matched the wire color with the S, IG and L terminals. I have included pics of the pinout, schematic and another one that may be
