Dome Fuse repeatedly blowing
For about a good 4 months now, my 2002 Sequoia has been blowing the fuse for the dome lights after each shut off and restart of the engine.
The fuse has been replaced countless times, and oddly enough, when the dome fuse goes, the clock memory gets erased. Has anyone had this problem before?
Does anyone know which fuse the clock runs off of? i'd like to pull the fuse for the clock and see if that keeps the dome lights working.
Thanks

In my 4Runner the clock gets it's memory power from the dome fuse. Sounds like the Sequoia is the same. Could be you have a wiring short in the dome light circuit somewhere.

that's what i was thinking. The only places left where the short can be is in the vanity mirrors, the wiring through out the vehicle, and the clock itself. I have already gone through and checked all of the dome lights, they all function properly, and if the short was located at one of these points, the fuse should blow when they are activiated. Doesn't happen untill the vehicle is completely turned off and turned on again.
