2011 Tundra General Questions

My dad is about to buy a 2011 Tundra. This is new territory as I only know my way around Land Cruisers and 4Runners. I am looking for a little general insight here.

He is going all out on this one. 5.7 V8 CrewMax Limited 4x4 with Navigation. Anyone on here have something similar and mind sharing prices paid, advice, etc.? USAA has the price at $39,000 (Unbelievable considering I paid 31k for my 2010 4Runner)

Also, does anyone have any complaints as far as poor design, maintenance issues and the like? Just trying to pass any and all information along to him so he knows what hes getting into (Other than a really expensive truck)

What are your thoughts?

I have a 2011 Tundra, 4.6L V8 Oklahoma Edition. I love it. Mine is a base model with just a few extra bells and whistles and a towing package. Im really happy with it. I have no complaints so far and I got it back in February. I think your dad will enjoy the 5.7L

2008 5.7L 4WD Crewmax SR5
Big tow package, 4.30 gears with LSD
Debadged, 3" lift, 33" Nitto Trail Grapplers
It's a beast.

Made $4500 on my trade in
Got $5k rebate at the time
Took it home under $30k

Now 65k miles later still love it

Got my 2011 Tundra SR5 DC in June. Running boards, bed liner. Had the security system activated by the dealer, installed the Glass break system and the hood latch switch security myself. Got the backup camera in the mirror. 3 months Satelite radio and has the USB hookup. Put all LED lights in it. Got the plasmaglo (firetorm)LED tailgate bar. Also bought a tonneau cover for the bed Got the truck from dealer for 37k. Traded my 04Tundra DC, gave me 17k and got 2k rebate. Also they gave me Platinum 8yr. 75k Warranty for dealers cost ($720.00) I see now they are giving 5 or 6k rebates...good luck
