Cool 2003 Tundra & TRD headers/exhaust

Has anyone installed a set of TRD headers and dual exhaust on their 2003 Tundra? The TRD catalog brags of a possible 15 HP (rear) increase for the headers and a 3-4 HP for the cat-back muffler and pipes. The HP increase is nice, but I would only make the purchase if they sounded a bit more low and thoaty than the stock. The stock are OK, but I know it could be better. Any input would be appreciated.

Any header for the tundra will yeild big gains but duals MIGHT kill your low-end TQ. If you do get duals stay with the same pipe diamiter 2 1/4'' but IMHO just get a spintech muffler if you have a V8 expect 5 HP and 6 TQ. go to www.TundraSolutions.com and look for a guy named V8toilet he has dyno graph of the muffler.

03TundraTRD,
Thanks. As you can see I waited a while for a response to this question. I never thought about dual exhaust reducing HP or TQ. My natural assumption was that reduced exhaust restriction was the key, but HP was not my primary goal, just a little more rumble; nothing obnoxious. I'm not into noise for the sake of noise. As it is I will have to wait a bit before I can spend some $$ in this area. Thanks for the feedback.

If your not looking for power but some rumble then get the Basani plit side duals if you have a V8 if you have a V6 then get a spintech dual muufler and have a shop custom make you one
