Ok, more newbie stuff again:

Was reading some info about Pertonix, Mallory and one other electronic ignition distributor replacement systems. And I'd like to do this to mine.

I have 73/74 F engine. Any recommendations, advice, model numbers (if any)or other input?

I have a Pertonix Ignitor Electronic Ignition on my 1966 Ford Thunderbird.

It's great because it replaces the points and is very reliable. Additionally nothing is really modified so you can always return to points ignition. Finally, the remaining ignition parts are stock so you can get them at the local parts store - not have to locate some weird special distributor cap or rotor.

It's very easy to install. My cousin restores old Mustangs and Mopars and installs them on many vehicles to maintain a stock look with improved reliability. He loves them.
