Check with a couple collectors - Mudrak.com and Spectre Off Road.

Maybe for the cost of a phone call they could help steer you in the right direction regarding a good asking price or possibly they know someone who is looking for a really low mileage FJ62.

I had an '89 FJ62 that I sold with 189K miles and I still see it driving around 3 years later. Awesome rigs, they just don't seem to be in as much demand as a 40 or 80 series Landcruiser. I would buy another one though.

Here's a pic of my friend's '88 FJ62 -

That vehicle is beautiful. If it were mine I would keep it and drive it and maintain it like it was the only thing I cared for!

30K on it? Heck, the leather hasn't even been farted on enough to be soft yet.

Forget selling it, drive that sucker forever...

Nice find for sure!

How does it feel to STEAL from old people?

Keep it. I love mine and she can do a lot on the trail. I have over 200k on her now but she keeps on going strong. I wouldn't sell her for anything. Hubby fixed her up good for the trail but even before that she was a beauty-single owner no rust (AZ rig).

You and Poboy with his 85 runner take the prize

I'd love to find anything close to what both of you have.

Nice job.

Oh My God! You found a good FJ62 steering box? Do a SAS on one of your 4Runners and throw the rest of the 62 away!

Obviously just kidding.....Good find!

You know, people always say they can get a lot of $$ for a nice truck like that, but they don't because the people that would buy it are more willing to spend that money on 4Runner solid axles. Oh well. : )
