Lookin to buy '91 Cruiser

Aight so I just wrecked my 94 4runner this past saturday and am currently in the works of looking at my next investment. As of right now I scoped out a nice 91 fj80 that I am leaning towards. Just wanted to know if anyone had some insight if there was anything wrong with these cruisers technically and mechanically speaking. Also I am looking to sell my 94 if there are any people that are looking for one.

93+ are better, though sometimes more expensive, they have 212hp 1FZ-FE instead of 155hp 3FE, most have the full floater rear axle, ABS, 16 inch wheels, etc. Also, some have the optional front/rear lockers,

Check the newbie guide, in the tech section, at www.sleeoffroad.com, and check the faq on the 80 series forum, at www.ih8mud.com.

Is there the heater hose problem with those years? I know that has been an issue.

The other thing to consider is that this is a BIG vehicle, offroad speaking, especially considering your previous Toyota. I know a lot of guys (including myself) that loved the 80's, but in the end it just wasn't agile enough for my kind of wheeling. Something to consider.

Check out IH8Mud - more information there than you could ask for about these vehicles.

'Preciate the feedback. Still up in the air whether or not I will either fix my 4runner or just part ways with it and go w/ something else.
