keeping rust under control on a 1985 HJ60

In an attempt to stop the rust problem I cleaned and treated the floor. Some minor rust had started. I cleaned up the affected area and painted it with a rust paint that is supposed to stop and coat the rust. The rest of the floor I treated with a great product called Fluidfilm. It's sheep wool lanolin without solvents or petroleum oils. The thick consistency allowed me to slop it on with a cloth. I reinstalled the carpet and shouldn't have to look at it again for awhile.
