Landcruiser transfer box query

Hi all, first post on here so hi
i am building a land rover defender (i am from the UK) , i have put a set of 80 series axles under it and am putting a 1uz into it, i currently have an early (non vvti) motor and gearbox bolted up to (what i believe) is an LJ78 transfer box.

Basically i have two questions...firstly, if i decide to change the motor and gearbox for a vvti lump and 5 speed gearbox, does anyone have any info on putting the LJ transfer case behind the A650e gearbox?

And secondly, and more importantly, what are the transfer box's like strength wise? i don't want to go to loads of effort to make it fit and then smash it straight away! do they share any parts with the hilux transfer cases and if so are uprated aftermarket parts available?

i'm basically scared of going to all the effort of making it work and then finding its not up to the job! if thats liekly to be the case are there any other simple-ish options for a transfer case to go behind the 5speed A650e? need to have both outputs offset to match 80 series axles

Many thanks!
Adam
