Land Cruiser J55???
There's what i believe to be a J55 for sale here in town. Looks to be in pretty good shape. Owner herculined the roof and fender flares. Says he went through the motor and it recently passed inspection. I'm having a hard time finding any info on this thing. Are these rare?

looks nice from the exterior. if it's a good runner, i'd go for it if the price is right.
they aren't that rare of a rig, just not as common to see on the road these days since most of them have unfortunately rusted away (especially if in the rust belt).

Nicknamed the Iron Pig. FJ55's weren't as common as the 40s, 60s, and 62s, but they are still Cruisers and tougher than a coffin nail.
Same drivetrain as a 40, with the F and 2F engines, 3 & 4 spd trans, depending on years. Basically they're the predecessor to the FJ60.
If you don't snag it, post up the info and a link in case someone else gets the notion for a Pig.
