FJ/FZJ80 rear axle Q's

A friend of mine has a 92 FJ80 with drum rear brakes, would like to convert to rear disc. What is needed, besides the axle and a mastercylinder swap, will it take to swap in a FZJ80 rear axle? I know the track width is about a inch wider, But will the suspension line up? Driveline mods? Change to 16" or bigger wheels?

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Not sure on the other stuff, but you will have to move up to 16" wheels or grind the calipers (I wouldn't) to fit 15" wheels. I believe driveshaft should still fit, as well as suspension.

Hi there,

I realize this is an older thread but it's relevant to what I have to ask. I'm looking to buy an fzj80 and i was wondering if I could swap out the fzj springs for an fj's. Also, how difficult is it to swap springs from an 96 Lx 450.

Thanks for any ideas!
