FJ 80 engine swap.

Is it possible to swap the 4.0 engine for the 4.5 and what are the logistics of doing the swap? Thanks.

it can be done. just some updating to the bit new technology. However, if you are going to do that another motor still might be a better idea...

I have always wanted to do a Duramax V8 diesel in mine, however, that is a MAJOR overhaul, so now thinking about rebuilding my 4.5 and adding a turbo...

If you are going to do a swap, put something else way cooler in. Its not worth the effort otherwise.
