bob tail 80 series

Hi guys.

I have a 1990 turbo diesel gxl 80 series. And i want to chop the back and shorten it so the tailgate is inline or near the back tyres. I have approached a company here in aus about doing it but im also considering a styleside approach, pretty much making it a ute. Has anyone got any pics of bob tailed cruisers?? as i cant find any or style side cruisers?
Cheers.

Theres at least one more in the hardcore section of ih8mud, look in the 80 series section and theres probably more. Post a thread here when you start!

here's another two:
Slee Vlakvark
What about Bob?

i've been tooling over the idea of picking up an 80 and chopping into it as well after seeing the Vlakvark that Slee Offroad made. mine would be mainly for wheeling only, but if i were to chop it up i'd go for the Ute/truck look (and try to splice-in a roll-up window/tailgate from a 4runner at the rear of the cab) or i would make something similar to a 1st gen 4runner (with a full cage and a soft top, welded rear doors and possibly a bob).

definitely post up some pics when you do it
