84 fj60 fuel issue

My 84 fj60 is hard to start after driving. The carb cooling fan is working but must be cranked more than usual ,as if flooded or vapor locked. It starts right up after cold start. Anyone with similar problem ? Or suggestions ? Thanks reading my post. Bill

I don't know FJ60s, but what is your warm start procedure? On both my '69 FJ40 and my '69 VW Beetle I have to press and hold the gas pedal halfway when I start them warm.

First of all thank you for your reply .I will try holding the gas pedal half way and no choke. I am getting a lot of back pressure in the fuel tank as well, I have to believe the two are connected. I am new to land cruisers so my learning curve is never ending. Thank you again for your advice. Bill
