I chose the G19 and G23. Both are very nice and shoot good. I personally can shoot better with the G19.

Here in Arkansas you can get brand new glocks all day long for $480.

Let us know what you get!

I got my 23 from a reputable dealer for $520 - most places I checked wanted $600- Expensive, but I've learned to shoot accurately with it and I love the way it is built.

Ive got the good old Colt 1911 Commander .45. I love the way it shoots and its very balanced. My glock shoots nice but doesnt feel as tight as the 1911.

now now, don't go starting in with 1911 talk.

There is no comparison and I can't wait to get my 1911 loaded

The Springfield GI .45 1911 is pretty inexpensive $500-600. The cool thing with the 1911 are the endless number of aftermarket parts. It can grow along with your skills.

I have a 1911...sort of. It's an LAR Grizzly in 45 winchester magnum. I have a .357 mag and a 10mm conversion for it too. Mine is a stainless steel version of the pic below

The gunner grips are marketed by Strider and designed the late Rob Simonich, both knife makers. They're made out of G10 fiberglass the same kind found on Strider knives. G10 is basically 500 layers of fiberglass in an eighth of an inch. I guess it's also the material they use for the cargo bay floor of the space shuttle. The gunner grips have a pretty good feel to em. They can be found for about 60 bucks.

Military Morons has some good closeup shots.
