Does the epoxy you use work pretty well? A guy I know from B.C also said he got some rear quarters and attached them with the stuff recommended and they were falling off by the end of the year. Other than that your work looks great Ill probably end up getting the high clearance front fenders once mine get a little more bashed in.

if you do it right ..*3M guarentees the bond for life !! It's in the package when you buy it ..

I would think your buddy didnt do it right

one of the worse things people do is "clean" the bonding surface with acetone .. this is a MAJOR mistake , and will absolutly cause delamination.

I have NEVER had any problems with delamination , but ya gotta do it right

panel bonder is not a NEW product .. it's been used in the industry for 10+ years .. automotive manufactures , and marine industry has used sucessfully for many years ..

Corey,

Looks great! Can't wait to see it in paint, and to get it back.

I replaced all the fender mouldings in 2000. They have a few parking lot dings in them but are in good shape. Will put the lot up for sale when I get the build closer to done.

I remember years ago when 3M was first introducing the idea of 'gluing' panels together, now it is more common to see 'bonded' quarter panel on a major manufacturer. i can say that i never imagined bonding fiberglass to steel...nice work Corey!

On that topic, do you know what tires the owner plans on running? Any suspension mods (like long travel)?

Nah, but I'm guessing it will track wide. Those new flares look at least 3" wider than stock.

I do have another customer whom is going to try run 40's .. with no lift to start .. and then go from there (+mods to the front fender well )
