Looks a lot like the Thrush Welded muffler I used on mine. A friend used it on his 22R and it sounds great - has a nice deep throaty tone at idle and under load, but it isn't too loud when driving and isn't whiny at all. I would image that the FM40 is quite similar.

well sucks to be me !!
this engine turns out to have a slight "knock" at higher RPM .. runs like a champ , and noise not audible , but knock sensors don't lie !
so we are replacing the engine . Just when I thought it was out the door
replacement engine ordered

engine swapped and now running like a champ .. Erik has decided he wanted us to do the door skins as well , before paint

off with the original skin !!

looks like we got to it just in time ! (both doors were about the same condition)
cleaned up the inside and laid down some POR15 ..

POR should be ready for me to proceed tomorrow AM ... and so I got the skin all prepped and ready to EPOXY tomorrow as well

epoxy all cured , so time to mount them

test fit , and now I can "adjust" the body lines
So with a compass , I can draw the perfect gap

job all done and ready for paint
