build is going great .. except for some back order pieces !!

so got the fuel filler all "buttoned" up today ..

also re-fit the rear bumper and got it mounted .. "trimmed" to fit .. I cut ~2 1/4" off the bumper ends for a better fit

also backup camera mounted

also got the headliner "glued" today .. more tomorrow

so more today ..
headliner is in , but my camera wouldnt take a very good pic , sorry , you'll have to wait on that one ...
I was in a bit of a delima about the visors .. what to do .. ??? my uhpolstery guy said he really didnt want to do them because of the "clip" mount , and it's difficult I guess . Toyota has only a couple left and only in TAN @ like 30.00 bucks ea !! anyway .. I was looking at my 90 4Runner and looked at its visors .. right color , and in great shape .. so I cleaned them up , and changed the mounting hardware , and used them .. they color matched perfect , and fit great .. pics of those also will have to follow ..

also got the windshield in

thanks ..

I decided against the whidshield weatherstrip chrome "lock chanel" for 1 reason ..

presant and future replacement costs . @ 80.00 per side (X2)(my cost) + the stainless pieces @ 20.00 per (my cost) ..
These pieces are already becoming OBSOLETE .. as far as I know .. there are only 3 moulding sets left in North America .. and aftermarket has already discontinued the windshield weatherstrip for the "incert" type .. now only avaliable threw Toyota . this plastic chrome really dosnt last long with out becoming brittle and clowdy .. unless I buy all the sets , I didnt think it was feesable ...

no chrome on the vent window .. cuz it's a TRUCK !! ..

and the fuel filler bolts are "yellow" zinc'd bolts .. just like all the rest of the bolts .. ALL NEW .. as was from the factory ..

I wanted to keep the "Trekker" integretty intact .. with just a FEW mods ..

Hey slacker, looking good man. Really sexy. If you dont mind could you post the specifics on the window seal you used for your front window? Next week i will have my front window pulled so that i can fix any rust and i would liketo go the same route as you have. Thanks

TinMan the windshield gasket is just the optional "no lock strip" .. should be avaliable at any glass shop ? I have had a few customers in the US tell me that it wasnt avaliable ? if you cant find one we sell it as well

That thing is beautiful! You must be very pleased to have come so far with this project. Excellent work. Don't change a thing about it.
