so as I mentioned .. steering wheel is in ..

I also bought one of those cheep car covers off of ebay .. it's suposably for a 4Runner .. its basically a generic cover , but I figured with the interior and electroncis going in , and my shop being so dusty .. It might be a good idea ..

also .. got the SUB box mostly done ..

Just checked this thread out since my last replay nearly 2 years ago... This project is outstanding. The work you are doing looks incredible. I love seeing all the metal pieces being sealed up to prevent rust. Rust is my No. 1 worst enemy.
Besides all the repainting etc... the wiring looks great too. I just installed some backup lights on my pickup and realized I don't really like wiring that much. This takes it to a whole new level. You've inspired me to do it correct the first time.. I need to weatherproof all my wiring and secure it.
I bet your Trekker will outlast any new vehicle. Especially since you've got a solid platform.

Thanks PWD ..
i`m useing dilectric grease on all of my electrical connections , expecially the exterior ones .. it`s expencive .. but it works and lasts ..expecially in the salt/corrosion areas of North America
I`m hoping this Trekker will be around for a very long time ..

: ) .. yes .. it is ..
have not had the chance yet to "set it correctly" although the alignment should be "bang on" .. I will still have to "take it in" and make sure .. as I dont have an alignement rack ..
It will be corrected then ..
just like the "no oil" tape on the engine (many posts ago) it is a reminder to me that I need to get it done
