IMO steel wheels are the only way to fly on an offroad rig. You get an aluminum wheel in the rocks and it will get trashed thats just my .02 but I do like black wheels love soft 8's and I like allied type 51's which is what I have.

I know what your saying bout the steel wheels, rocks, and beat up ride but this is one of the nicest runners i have seen very well thought out and put together. Everything just goes together so nice. Slacker i wasnt tryn to be rude bout the rims man ive seen many of trucks you have done on here and everyone of them in my opinion are excellent quality love your work wish i had half the talent and skill that you have. Keep up the great work and cant wait to see whats next. like i said previously sorry i missed the wheels on the first page and i just thought you may like the look of that wheel with the whole look you had going on.

 

Problem with steel is the weight. It adds usually another 15lbs per wheel. With a 22RE that robs more power. That being said, I am going to try some old school steelies that I painted today that are already mounted the new tires I just picked. See next post for pics and info.

 

Got some shoes for it today. They came with some ugly steelies that I painted Graphite Gray in hopes that they look good enough to run. If not, I will move them over to the Outlaw IIs.

35x12.5x15 Goodyear MTR Kevlars. These have only 500 miles on them. Just enough to wear the nipples off.

 

I'd left them gold.... J/K man.

The Gunmetal looks good. so when is it getting a SAS and rear springs?

Thanks Scotty I guess I'm gonna splurge and buy TG springs so I can use their measurements. or maybe i will use theirs as a start then use 63" chevy's and make the minor adjustments needed then post up my measurements for others to use.

just saw a set of those tires posted in front of a local tire shop but didn't get out to see what size they were. maybe tomorrow when I got to work I'll check'em out.

 

Just got it back from Big Horn Graphics. We made a sticker package for it to keep the 80s theme, but with a twist for the company. Hunter digs it.
