Addicted Offroad's "Mini-me" build-up
So, here is my son's new project. 87 SR5. 184K. Every option. 22re, 5spd. Interior is super clean. Gonna need some new front fenders, and a little rust repair on the pass side.
I have a red tailgate being picked up tomorrow for it too.
I spent the day buffing it out. The only thing I like about Toyota Red was that they never clear coated it. Its a single stage paint, and buffs out really nice with a little TLC. :grinpimp:
The plan is SAS, 35s, 5.29s, rear locker, duals, full cage, body work, new paint, etc.
Turtle wax and a high speed buffer do wonders.

Looks like a good start. I'm always surprised how well the old red Toyota paint buffs out.
I think it's awesome that your getting your son into the sport at an early age, good luck with the project!

Well, here we go. Pretty much all of the parts were dropped off last week.
Oh, and its getting some more bling up front. I'm over dealing with stock Toyota axle housings.
Found some retro wheels too:
