Reputable Yota Shop Needed near Des Moines, IA

Hey guys,

We have a 1985 4runner that's having intermittent starting problems. When you turn the key, you can here it click up under the passenger side dash, but it's not turning over at all. Basically, it doesn't appear that the starter is being activated. Other times it just starts right up with no issues, so I don't know if it's a short or anything else it could be. We're in Adel, IA, so does anyone know a good reputable toyota shop for these 85's, by chance in an around the Des Moines area? Thanks for the help,

Chris

Post in the right section Newbie.

And tap your starter with something next time it won't start. If it begins to work you need contacts.

Not convinced, because it starts just fine usually.

I bet it's just worn contacts or sometimes the plug connector gets loose.

So, how does a person replace worn contacts or check the plug connector? I'm not familiar with this truck at all, yet.
