Sup guys, i recently got a 96 T with 163k miles on it. A few questions, i'm kinda thrown off. What i want is somewhat of a bulldog lift on it, where the front is higher than the back. Probably 2" My question being: what's the best lifting method? I've searched up and found that you can torque the torsion bars or add balljoint spacers. saw both of the pros/ cons. My brother said to just throw on some coil spacers, but when i go to look at the underside, i have NO springs? That's a major one i want to solve, i thought it would have them but i guess not? Any other suggestions for lift setups? I was thinking some kinda DIY option (no body lifts)
I was planning on throwing on some 31's and wheel spacers up front also. I've noticed that you can't really find bumpers too well either? I have a friend that can do fab work but i wasn't sure if i wasn't looking hard enough or something to find one.
Overall for the truck i want the front end lift, tires, skid plates and bumper.. Any input will be appreciated, i'll be posting as the project goes on

 

Ok so i figured out that a sack of rocks has a better iq than me.. torsion bars replace the coils. Anyway, the check engine came on and it was a leak in the muffler. Picked up a glasspack kit for it, i'll post before/ after instillation videos! The way my lift is going to be setup, i'm going to lift it with the torsion bars and put on aftermarket fox shox for a better ride. I'll keep it updated!

 

Lift goes on tomorrow, followed through with BJ spacers and procomp shock absorbers

 

Looks like a cool build, I was going for a little bulldog look on mine, i have 2 inch blocks in rear and 1.5 inch bj spacers and lifted the front about .5 inches higher than the rear

31s fit the 4x4s without any lift, im making a bumper now, you can get a brush guard for about $500 but im not a big fan of them. let me know how the skid plates go, i was looking at fabbing one to replace the plastic.

There is also a stinger like light bar you can get for about $150 posted on one of the T100 build threads.

Sounds great! Yeah, mine's a 2wd so the front is getting picked up a little. i know a guy that works at a fab shop so i'm with you on fabbin the bumper. Probably going to do the same with the skid plate!

 

Are you still looking for a bumper? Front or rear? I have a good shape front bumper but not so much on the rear. It is salvagable though. That is free to anyone wanting it. The front has a small ding in it that's about the size of a 50¢ piece. Easy fix in my book. I'm building my own bumpers and skid plates, as well as sliders and roll bar. I have one helluva brush guard for the front and a winch mount for both ends.
