Yeah, they are cool! But they are LED?s not neon. They have a lot of things that are better than neon, less power, less heat, last MUCH longer, more durable ect..

For the little extra $$ it is well worth them.

I think it's funny how outraged people are at your modifications, so much no one cares about being civil to some extent.

The three Hella lights up-front are neat. We have at least a couple of members who done three in a row and it think it looks great. The blue...NGK ignition I think, wires are really high quality. Where did you get the rest of the new hoses?

I'm guessing this is not an off-road rig in the least. More then half of the stuff you've got on it will be destroyed. I particularity am worried about the wiring you've done, especially on the interior. It looks very jumbled and hard to maintain....I'm a real beginner to this but it looks like a fire waiting to happen. Be careful.

No real comments other then that
Never thought about putting the 2x4 under it, not a bad idea! I need to do that.

And I knew that it was way over the top for these guys to really care about any of the good stuff, at least at first.

The hellas were something that just kinda happened. The grill had 2 holes in it so i got the first 2 in there then said the middle looks empty! So a drill and light later and there you go a 3some! I am very happy with how those turned out and after I get rid of the blue ones it will look a LOT better. Plus with 3 of them and the fogs below I get a nice full light pattern.

And yep those are the NGK wires, so far they have held up great and have stood up to the MSD. The rest of the blue silicone hoses I got from a friend at a shop but you can get them online and I think that even pepboys sell them. They were very nice in that you just cut them and slip them on. And once they get hot they seal VERY VERY well. Plus the silicone will just last longer. Then there is also some of that heat shield stuff to protect some of the new wires in there. The stainless stell hoses are really just sleeves that you can get on ebay, they slip over the hose and clam in place. They ad a lot of good looks in my opion but don?t really do anything. Now the SS brake lines did seem to help..

And right now no, it is used 90% on road as a DD. And until I can get another truck I can?t do much with it as I can?t be braking it and be without a car. But later it will be a dedicated trail rig. And really most of the stuff will hold up to off-roading except mabey the LED?s but they will come off then.

The wiring has since been cleaned up a lot, these were taken just before a big trip and I didn?t have time to get everything perfect before we left. But I have cleaned most of them up now.

THANKS!

I know, ain?t it though!
MSD doesnt do jack for a fuel injected car, you wasted so much money, im not going to even start.

its yours, do what you want, but next time you post your stage 2, beware of the bashing.

Ah, yeah it does help a fule injected car. I have seen the results myself.

Example, if i press the gas all the way to the floof and then let go right away as fast as i can the RPM's jump to around ~3000 without the MSD. But with it the RPM's got to ~4000. I did this over and over again and it was VERY consistant.

But it really helps when i start adding boost, it makes sure that the extra pressure doesn't sniff out the spark and makes sure you get a full brun each time.

I didnt know Toyota made a VatoZone Edition 4Runner.

I know there must be a flux capacitor in that mess somewhere. Turn it on, go back to when you bought the truck and start over.

I would prefer not have them chase me at all! After all if they wanted 1 bomb then they could get another and i don't want to find a surprise when i start my car!

BTW: it is a VW VAN (watch the movie again...)

Now biff is a whole other problem...

Why thank you. That was me, i found a place on ebay that prints some darn nice stickers and got a pair. They also threw in the one that is on the back for free.

The gas cap did take some planing but i have done of this before so it was not too bad, the harest part is getting it lined up so that you don't have a little bity piece on one side of the gap that wil fall off or look wierd.

Then you just press it down like normal and get a sharp knife and cut it right downt he middle and folt it under and ta da! you have a sticker on the gas cap! and it allows you to match up both side to look even better as doing it off the cap looks funny when you see the other side.

Yeah that should look nice! I have seen 4 on the front and it looks good, just try to find some light covers that look good with your paint color.

And the roof ones should be great as well, i have through about it but i think it might just be a little overboard...

"In America, however, it is a VW bus, a "vee-dub," a hippie-mobile, hippie bus, or hippie van, "combie", Microbus or a Transporter to aficionados"

either way, i hate them i had to do some work on one time

back on topic, how did you mount the gauges below your stereo? since you installed the electronic fans did you remove the original fan?

What are you talking about? Did you mod the VVT to be "on/off" like an "on/off" VTEC supercharger... LOL, there actually are people that think, VTEC, or VVT is something that turns on after a while

only real comment I have is... DUDE, SERIOUSLY, GET A FIRE EXTINGUISHER... you can even get them in shiny chrome, or blazin' red (no pun intended)...

seriously... get one, car fires are real, and fire in your car will be really possible

LOL, i won't argue that. I have always hated VW as well.

As for the guages, well ever heard of "Sit!....STAY!" lol

Right now they are just in there with some friction and some tape until i figure out if i want them on top or bottom of the deck. I had them on both for a little while and can't decide which i like better. On bottom they are a little hard to see on the top of the guage but the deck is easier to acsess. Where it is th other way around with them on top. Not a big problem either way. Plus they stay well enough that i could leave them like that forever if i wanted to but i have already got a braect half made to hold them out of an old cookie pan.

It will end up screwing into the deck mounting holes that are not used anymore and have the 3 holes for the guages for them to sit. I will have to cut out a little of the dash to get them to fit right though hence why they are not yet mounted. I want to be sure before i go and cut up my dash...

Well the Vtec does adjust the cams at XX RPM to increase power at different RPM ranges and it can be adjusted with ECU software to make a lagging RPM range even out.

See: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question229.htm or http://auto.howstuffworks.com/camshaft2.htm if you want a better explanation. So yes it does engage and disengage depending on the RPM that you are running and the RPM that it engages can be adjusted to make it work better.

Oh, and already got a fire Extinguisher

Lol, I know exactly how it works, I am just wondering how you get your "boost" you speak of and was joking at the fact that you probably think you can turn your "VVT" on and off, as many stupid ricers think they can turn their VTEC "on" and "off" for increased perfmormance
