I will try to write this in chronological order but its kind of all a blur. I am proud to say, i did every mod myself accept setting up my gears.

Aem Brute Force Intake - I know people poopoo these but I am careful at water crossings. The butt dyno did feel a noticable boost in torque. When I did it, I was towing alot and it helped.

TRD Cat-Back Exhaust - Sounds great. Not too loud. Again small Torque/HP Gains. I can't say that a custom exhaust would not have given the same results.

Had the TRD transcooler in line with the in-radiator transcooler but after reading about the strawberry milkshake, I bypassed OE transcooler with this part # 4454.

Then came the Sonoran Steel System 1.2 suspension lift and Yokahama Geolander AT-S 285/75/16s.

I did need to run 1/4 wheel spacers with this set up to keep it from rubbing on the UCA. Then i had to trim about 1/4 in off the fender flare on the inside front of the front wheel wells. no rubbing after that.

Shortly after came the Budbuilt Skid and Belly Plate. There is no way to describe how tough this product is.

I then added a 1 inch 4crawler body lift. This is another high quality product. It makes things a million times easier to work on and run lines. there was no safe was to run my transcooler lines before the body lift. it gives my wheels a little more room to flex. see this post for a list of things made easier by a body lift. I also did polyurethane body mount bushings from 4crawler at this time. I would recommend this when doing a BL to help keep a solid feeling ride.


Here is a pic with the sliders welded on. The body lift allowed them to go on nice and high on the frame. These are the Stubbs Welding HD with no Kick out and the 15 degree bend. another great company to work with.


the only thing different from the pic above is i now have 1" wheel spacers. love em.

Ive got some more info to add about some maintenance things as well as check engine codes i have some experience with. as well as a few other little mods.

please feel free to comment on this. ill do my best to answer any questions not posted above.

 

just finished up changing the upper and lower ball joints on the passenger side as well as the axle tube seal and wheel speed sensor on that side. gotta stop to get ready to take the gf out for her birthday dinner. i hate taking her car but its prob not a good idea to drive with new BJs on one side.

it was alot easier then i thought it was going to be. from the posts ive read about it, i had it in m head that it was going to be near impossible. kinda like my first tattoo. had my self so freaked out that when i felt it i was like "o thats all it is?"

 

sick rig man, did you paint your rims? if so, what color and how?

Do you get any rubbing with the wheel spacers? I've got th same size tires with a 3in lift and was thinking about putting some of those on.

 

what color on the rims and which products did you use to paint them?

 

very nice mods. i like the stance an lift. you ever think about doing a gray wire mod?

 

i checked out the sonoran steel website. the 1.2 kit looks great. so its adjustable? you seem to be happy with it?
