Ok, time to pickup where I left off. Interior is stripped and I'm in the process of finishing up all of the interior sound deadening. All horizontal surfaces have two layers of Raammat followed by two layers of Ensolite. Vertical surfaces have two layers of Dynamat extreme and one layer of Ensolite.

And I mounted my navigation where the sunglass pocket was. External antenna is mounted on the dash.

More updates to come.

I'm a bit of a procrastinator. Here's where I'm at now, the interior is finally going back in.

All sorts of wires being run. I'm trying to keep everything isolated the best I can. I have an auxillary battery going in the back so a lot of my electronics are going to run off of that instead of the main battery.

I dyed the carpet black and it turned out really well. It looks brand new.

The XM reciever and the CD changer are going under the driver seat. I didnt want to screw anything down to the floor so instead I used some construction adhesive and secured some plywood down to mount the electronics to.

Hopefully more updates in the next few weeks.

Thanks! The truck has been sitting since last April. I just pulled it out for the winter and have been driving it for the last week. Hence the reason why I have the motivation to get the interior in. Driving around in sub zero temps with no interior is no fun...

I gave up on trying to strip the original stuff. I got a lead on OE non-chrome/unpainted bumpers at a good price locally. I'm going to pick up a set in the spring.

Agreed. I have about $350 into all of the sound deadening but it was worth it in order to get over the tire drone from the M/T's. The truck is considerably more quiet and I havent even done the doors yet.

man im putting 285's on my runner as soon as i put my lift in.. im switching between the OME, toytec and SS.. leaning toward Toytec... no BL with the SS lift and those tires?

and the sound stuff has really got me thinking! i am putting in a new molded carpet in the passenger area so maybee i should do somthing like that.. what is that stuff and where do you get it? was it worth it? i did not even think about the noise...

You 4runner rocks!

thanks in advance.

Wheels and Tires

Great looking truck!

Have you had any issues with wheel balancing? I plan on buying similar wheels and read that some people had issues with wobble from non hub centric wheels.
