Gen 3 MT 5 Transmission Sound Question
Fellow Yota's, I need some help.
My beloved 99' 5 spd Runner is developing, has developed, an issue with her transmission. I hear and feel and "clunk" sound when coming off the throttle in both 2nd and 3rd gear.
The best way I can describe it is when I am driving around in traffic in either 2 or 3 following another car. If that car starts to slow and I come off the throttle to drift BUT still stay in gear....clunk!
RPM's vary a bit, typically when she is heading sub 2k.
Info on the truck: I am the second owner, purchased her after a lease return. She was in perfect shape. I now have 130K on her and I use her like a truck: I pull and carry some heavy stuff...mostly construction materials. I run Airlift airbags which allow me to carry a lot more weight without ass sag.
ANY and all help or suggesting is appreciated!
Thank you!
