Ike has the 33x.9.50's.

I bought a set of 255/85/16 TrXus. They measured 32.7" I never mounted them because I didn't want to spend on a regear for my 22RE since I also run the stock 28" in winter. It wouldn't have really worked for me, so I traded them. Beautiful tire though, I like 'em better than BFGs.

"Would those be in the neighborhood of $180-200 per tire or is pricing announced?[/QUOTE]"

I think they would be. As a comparison- Discount Tire warehouse has the KM2's 285 75 R17 for $219 and the same size for the KM are jsut a few dollars less. I suspect new sizes (KM2's) will be a bit more than the KM's but not much more. Of course I'm just guessing.

Great looking tire and from what I have heard they are very capable. Too bad you had to get rid of them. I think Trxus are a bit less per tire. I have heard the road noise and wear is not as good as a the BFG KM's. I was jsut talking to a friend about Trxus and have not ruled them out especially after seeing those mounted.

If they are close to what the km's are it should be around 180ish a tire, If a trade i am working on doesnt deal out i am going to get some bighorns (255/85) at 600 installed.

Sorry if I am being a pest-is the receiver in the front flush with your TJM bumper face? I can't exactly tell from the photo/presuming it must be.

No problem at all- IT is not flush with the bumper because of where the pin hole is located on the hitch and receiver. I wanted to get the winch as close to the vehicle and the hitch as deep as possible in receiver so that I have more leverage when winching. The receiver is about 2 inches deep from the face of the bumper. I also had to cut the fairlead hole bigger so I can get my hands in there to put the pin and lock in. I cover it w/the plate when I'm not using the winch. The receiver is bolted onto a steel beam that is welded to the frame. It is rugged. My only concern is it abuts the Budbuild skid plate and blocks some airflow to the radiator. so far no problem. I towed my pop up last weekend loaded with camping gear and didn't have any issues.

thanks very much camp1 - really appreciate the photos and your patience with me.

I am not a person with good visualization skills but your description allows me to now do so.

Love the setup and this is what I am going to do when I am ready to do a winch. I never understood the concept of planting the winch inside the front bumper and leaving it there and I see others have a similar train of thinking.

I appreciate your follow up sir.

Glad to help- I see you live in Denver. Winters are probably similiar to ME. Starts snowing in october and melts in May. A winch stuffed in a bumper would rust and be worthless after 2 winters. This system allows me to strap it down in the cargo area until I need it. IT is a little more work and $ but to me it is well worth it. WHen yoiu get ready to set it up and you need more detailed pics to follow how and where it was mounted let me know.
