Yay...a New Toy!!!

Today I did the deed...I traded in the old 93 truck in on an EXTREMELY cherry 96 runner. It's stock except the wheels and tires, they are 265/75-16 Dunlop Mud Rovers, and I'm not sure what brand the wheels are, just some 16x8 (I think) black steel wheels. I'm also installing my roof rack with some lights I had on my truck topper. My only problem is I don't know anything about 3rd gens. I want to put a 3" or 4" lift on it but don't even know where to start looking. I've been studing up on all I can find here and plan to do the intake silencer removal mod and deck plate mod ASAP! What else can and should i do for more performance/coolness?

SEARCH!!!!

haha kidding. first 2 things you must do.

1. cupholder mod
2. upgrade to 99+ headlights.

make sure you also:

clean the MAF sensor
clean the 02 sensors

sorry, dunno much about lifts, but do you have the v6 or the 4cyl? if its the v6, do you know when the timing belt was last changed? if you have more than 90k miles and its never been changed, you might want to check that out. if you have a 4cyl, dont worry since it has a timing chain.

Hopefully I'll have some pics up soon! The rig is a v6, and I'm not sure if or when the timing belt was done. I've built the 3.0s but never done a 3.4. Is the timing belt about the same undertaking as the 3.0? Right now I'm in the process of doing the intake silencer removal mod and the deck plate mod. Then I plan on doing the black pearl emblems, and get my roof rack mounted and the lights wired up! Tell me more about cleaning the MAF sensor and O2 sensor.
