Looks good Le.
Nice to have a rack to carry stuff around with.

I use mine quite often.

Looks awesome!! Two things I wanna know..
Is it noisey at highway speeds (wind)? and how much does your highway gas mileage go down when you actually carry bikes on the roof?
All I ever carry is bikes, so I got a hitch rack. I would also hate to try and lift my 50 pound DH bike onto the roof.

its not noisy at all with the fairing and for the gas milage maybe a little less.
i m putting a sherman slider fork on my intense uzzi slx now, so it will be a little heavier to lift to the roof.
its safer to lock it on the roof than to leave it on the back, people will try to take it off the hitch mount rack.

I like your set up.

Yeah, definitely agree about bikes being safer on the roof. I'm also scared that I'll get rear ended and it'll be 6K out the window.
On the other hand, Some parks I drive to have a lot of low overpasses on the way to them. I'd be pretty scared driving through those with bikes on top.

That does look very nice. Very cool. How long did it take you to put the thing on and all the accessories? :fireman:

Looks good Rev.

Erc... I've got a similar setup at Rev's, but mine is mostly Thule gear. I do have a bit of wind noise at highway speeds, but most of that is due to the lights I have up there. I have noticed any decrease in gas mileage with just bikes up there, though it is slightly noticable with 2 kayaks on top. I personally would never put bikes on a typical hitch mount carriers as the bikes take sooo much wear and rubbing with that type of mount. Just my opinion though.

Whoa!! You're in bike biz??? How the hell can you afford that truck then??
I would LOVE to work with bikes (I do ALL my own work, including building wheels), but I'd have to build about 125 wheels a week to make the kind of money I'm making working with computers.

I hear ya, man. I'd never put "good" bikes on hitch racks that hold bike by top tube. I don't know if you can tell from the pic how mine works, but it touches nothing, but tires.
Thanks for answering my questions.
