Guys,

Anyone else interested? Seems the "Big Purchase" (SC) by Travis prevented this sale from going thru.

Step tubes for $50...anyone?

Ok, I swear I'll let this thread die! But more pics as requested

Steve, Jason, et al:

Finally got some time to bust out the digital camera. Here is a close up of the arms bolted to the frame and two more pics of the step tubes mounted:

I'm almost finished with the write up. I'll post that as a separate thread sometime w/n the month.

Bob,

Well it's about time...lol. See what I mean about it being much easier to mount to the frame instead of the hangers. Looking real sharp. I like the looks of the Xterra rail much better than the cheap looking tubes on the '02 Runners. I've had my Xterra rails installed for about 1 1/2 years and they are holding up very well. The bolts mounted into the frame are plenty strong and have given me no trouble at all.

Now, you have to paint them to match the Runner...

Mack,

Sure, I'll do the measurement this weekend. However, the length of your 1st gen is probably different than the 3rd gen. I did have to cut down the tubes 5 inches to make it fit the 4runner.

Randy: like i said my man, you were right. Shoulda listened to you, but stubborn Bob sometimes does it his way. Hey, how did you bolt on the top bolt? I had to drill a pilot hole at an obscene angle, then widen it enough to tap it!

I think I'll leave the color as is. Yours look great painted black, but I like the look I have right now since its a metallic color like the paint. I sure wish I coulda gotten my hands on the charcoal step tubes though.
