notta chance

[rant on}

would not do it.

reasoning:

1) not a Toyota
2) Not a Toyota
3) FUGLY!
4) Parts?
5) aftermarket?
6) Service?
7) realiabilty (see 1 & 2)

[end rant]

4Runner all the way (though it would be nice to have a turbodiesel 4Runner)

Yep. I believe that is a newer kind of Aro 4x4. I've seen several in my neighborhood over the last few years. With a diesel I believe judging by the grey/black exhaust smoke.....:pat:
But I haven't seen any of them for quit a while. Maybe they don't last that long or everybody sells them....

Are you all nuts? This truck is awful, look at all the details, plastic and other interior parts. It reminds me of Russian and Romanian 4x4s that are good for 2 days at the time in between major repairs.
This truck is bound to make another Yugo, or Lada in Canada if it ever makes it to US market. I would be afraid to leave city limits on this thing without another truck that can tow.
Here is something similar in quality made in Soviet Union:

is that a 3 speed transfer case i see?

i don't think the interior looks too bad, i like stuff without all the bells and whistles. typically easier to work on
