Dude, you should get a medal for patience like that!!!
I'm not sure I could handle looking at the S/C not on my truck.

I'm jealous too but with gas prices the way they are I don't miss pumping premium into my tank.

Every morning as soon as I get in the truck, this is the first thing I see. And every afternoon as soon as I get home this is the first thing I see.

The other day you said you had the VB installed for 500$. I just checked out the site and the VB upgrade is 475$ plus labor.

I had the spare VB sent to me and I had the guy put the truck on the rack and remove what looked like a pan and then come back and tell me it wouldn't fit. Then he was on the phone with John from IPT for about 30 min .. and then he put my truck back together .. John spent about a week trying to find me one that would work .. but was unable to do so. So he said I would have to send mine in .. my problem is I can't find a shop that will leave my truck on a lift inside while this thing gets shipped back and forth .. I don't want them to leave it outside .. theres just too much stuff to steal off of it. So I figured I would just drive to NJ and get John to do it and drive back. This is why the s/c project has been on hold for so long. The price I paid is a little less .. I got in on a group buy they had a while back. But its still not $1000 like it was quoted by the other guy in that thread.

John is a really nice guy to deal with it. He said he would honor the price he gave me indefinitely, he also paid for the labor cost that I had to pay the first time. Despite the fact that I told him not to worry about it.

There was an Aamco shop in Chicago that was highly recmmended .. the guy wanted $100 to do it .. so for me the total cost cam in at $500. I'm guessing yours would be a little under $600

I am in your debt!! taco04

Update for everyone, after reading this link I did the "free FMU" in addition to the IAC check valve, and HOLY CRAP!! The thing runs sooooo much better now. I was impressed with how it ran before, but this is a night and day difference. No more "cough", and the acceleration is much smoother, plus I feel much more pull, and the whine of the S/C if much more pleasant and consistant. Who woulda' thought that 2 little vacuum line adjustments could do so much!

Thank you yotatech!!

PS: Don't worry Gadget, the URD kit is still on the list
