I CAN SEE AGAIN!!! Wiper motor FIXED ...dirt simple, too!

Check this, if your wiper blades seem to be getting slow...

Mine seems to have given up the ghost. Of course, I don't discover this until the rain starts. When I hit the switch it TRIES to run, but stops after about an inch of swipe. The motor was hot to the touch. I think from trying to return to the "park" position.
Is it toast, and requires replacement, or can these things be made to work again, given a shot with the BFH??
Thanks,

EDIT: Took the transmission part today. Very simple. Remove the panel in front of the hood (5 screws), remove the three screens (watch you don't break the plastic clips), remove the wiper blade arms, remove the three retaining bolts for each pivot, remove the 4 retaining bolts at the motor, disconnect the transmission arm, remove from drivers side.
Lubed all the pivots AND the part where the wiper arm connects. Seems it got a ton of overspray and rust in there. Re-assemble in reverse. Ensure your wiper arms are "in sync". I still have to fine tune the "park" position.

Sounds like the wiper transmission assembly is jammed or the motor is fried. I don't remember exactly how I accessed that once, but I think you can remove the cowl by removing two or three phillips screws with a shorty screwdriver. It's kind of hard without the shorty because the hood is in the way. If the transmission itself is not jammed up, the motor is an easy swap with a few bolts and wire that clips into the harness.

Thanks, Glenn.
I'll get at the transmission tomorrow. I'm just gonna put some Rain-X on the windshield tonight.
