I siphoned out the blue junk - can get almost every drop. WalMart sells a siphon kit (with squeeze bulb) but I've always just used the suck-n-spit method myself where any piece of hose will do.

red de-icer stuff streaks

like mad! i got some at kragen for 4.5 a bottle which should treat 16 gallons, not bad stuff, no freezing, but crazy streaking, maybe i'll cut it with a little bit more water. thanks, dd
