window track

not for my yota, but my sisters civic just had a major problem with her window getting stuck half way open... well, i took the panel off and put the window back into the track... the track was tight so i dont see how it dislodged itself.... however, now that its back and working, it seems that there is more resistance than their should be.... i have played around with the track which i think is jsut a crappy design although i am not sure there is really any otehr design for that sort of thing, but what im wondering now is: is there any way to lubricate the track slides? something like wd-40... but i iknow not to use that as its on glass and rubber and that product will eat away the rubber over time and cause a funky mess on the window....

well i ended up using spray white lithium at the advice of robinhood.... he sent me a link that said that silicone is bad becasue its an electrical conductor and could migrate and short something and that it diminishes quite quickly in time and makes a mess on the windows....
