I know exactly what the problem is, as this happened to me during the summer.

For starters, the dealer tired to tell me it was the master switch on the drivers side that contains all the buttons.
If it was, that is big bucks.

But I suspected it was the one for the right window.
To test this, simply remove the switch from your right rear window and put it up front.

Now see if you can operate it from the right front, then from your master switch by you.
If it works, you had a faulty switch.

The part # is 84810-32070.
That bugger goes for almost $50, but you can get it online at the Toyota dealers who sell wholesale.
That is what I did.
I think I paid about $26 for it.

Let us know if the rear window switch works when you test it up front.

Also in our vendor links listed on the main page here you will find some online Toyota dealers to order the switch from.

Corey knows....

Yep, Corey nailed it. The same thing happened to my 4Runner 2 weeks after I bought it. Try what Corey reccomends to trouble shoot it. I bought my sw. from the local Toy dealership.. I think I paid $32.00, so Corey also knows where to get a better price.

Kinda off topic but how do you get them switches out? The little light that says "AUTO" on mine is the last thing left in my cockpit that is still green and hasn't gotten the potatoe paint treatment.

I used a commom butter knife from my silverware.
You slip it under the plastic and there is a gap and you can snap up the upper assembly.

Then you can pop out the switch from there.
You might have to compress the two plastic prongs on the switch, then it should pop out.

You can see the gaposis here.

This is another kinda off topic topic kind of topic for an allready previously kinda off topic topic kind of topic. lol

UKMyers or anybody else--How'd you get the hazard, defrost, window lock, and ect switches a different color than the green? I was thinking about changine my dash colors, but only if I could change the above mentioned too. I didn't want to have green and blue buttons at the same time.

Well, have fun all.
