winch

do you need to install a certian bumper inorder to install a winch? looking to get one, but i dont really want to get a new bumper in order to install one.

Um, you have to put the thing somewhere. Either a bumper or a brush graud with a winch mount...

If you don't want a new bumper, you can get a front class 3 receiver and a detachable winch mount (kills your approach angle I think) or you can get one of the grille guards with the winch plate. I have seen some from Smittybuilt and Warn. Failing all that you can get a custom winch bumper like I have from www.badlandbumpers.com. www.allproofroad.com makes one also and there many others.
