Snowmobiles are alot longer than you think. I had a SkiDoo touring 2 person sled and it was close to ten feet long. The nexe question is, will the skis fir between the wheelwells?
Where is the sled?
Can someone measure it for you?
Look online for the comperable machine on the manufacturers website. (who makes the sled?)

Wow, all I wanted to know is if people have done/doing it with this truck. I dont think the skis will be an issue im more concerned with the length. Its not a 2up sled and im sure it will overhang. I just want to know if I can do it safely.

If you can load it backwards (tread first) then use tiedown straps like the ratchet type of pinch type you should have no issue loading it in your truck, yes it will hang over the tailgate some but it should be just fine. Putting the rear end tread against the cab should give you plenty of clearance and the skis sticking out the rear of the bed will not be an issue. Enjoy your new "sled"

Can't you look up the manufacturer specs on how long it is? I know you can for any car. Do that, then measure your truck with the gate down. If your worried about bending the gate you could get a large slab of wood to cover the whole bed + tailgate to help relieve some stress

I called the guy and he said it 9ft long, I was going to put it in skis first cause all the weight is up front. I cant believe that the tailgate would bend like that, Im a little worried now.

Well figure the Snowmobile weighs 1000 lbs or so, and with most of the weight resting on your tailgate, yeah, its going to bend. I wouldn't put a snowmobile in the back of my dodge even, for risk of bending the gate.
Your best bet is going to be to get a snowmobile trailer, even if its a cheapo used up one.

Well i don't know how much the stupid things weigh, but i still wouldn't be putting no 500lbs on my tailgate for any extended period of time. Then bounce it around for a few miles down the road and FRAPPA! bent tailgate. Especially if i have a nice newer tacoma.
Now if I was driving some 70's chev junker, i would do that. Because come on, its just a chevy after all
