Widest Rims on a 3rd gen runner??

I'm gonna get some aftermarket rims for my 99 runner and am wondering what the maximum width i can get without rubbing. I am currently running stock but am going to have the revtek kit (2 1/2 - 3 inch lift). I want to run either 32's or 33's. I have been looking at 16x8 and 16x10's but am worried that the 10's will rub. However, I like the wide stance that the 10's would offer. Any input would help.....

Hey welcome to the board, make yourself at home @ the best dang froum on the web.
I know the 16x8 would fit fine and I would beleive that the 16x10s would fit too, but w/ 33's you might be puhing it,I say get a set of 16x8s with alot of backspacing, like the Micky Thompson Classic II's 3.75 backspacing, they would stick out nice and wide for ya. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hey welcome to the forum. I think 16x8's are alot more popular than the 16x10's. Take a look around with the search feature, I'm sure more info will turn up for ya.

Thanks! I will look for some 16x8's with the backspacing. Any Idea if the 10's would fit with backspacing of 5 or so? Or would I run the risk of rubbing on the control arm???

I think you would still risk some rubbing w/ 16x10s. In my experiance w/ alot of my friends running 10" wheels w/ 33s, they down play the 33s and make them look smaler(not as tall) and they just stick out way to much, my friend has bushwackr extended flares on his Jeep TJ and they still stick out past them, I jsut don't like them at all, now 35's on 10 inchers look sweet, that's what they are ment for in my book Jeep GC on 15x10 w/
35 MT/R's = . Stick w/ a 16x8 w/ mad backspacing and you'll be surprisedhow far out your tires stick,I got alot of backspacing on my 15x8s and I have 32x11.5 on them and they stick out past the fenders prolly close to 2 inches. You'll have 1 more inch the that w/ 33s, you won't be let down, trust me.

I have 16x8 American Racing rims on with 265/75/16's and they rub. When I had my runningboards on they rubbed a lot.

Oh and I have stock suspension right now....just waiting for my shocks then it's lift time!
