But it looks very different than all the others... Im really thinking of the supercharger and the price is right... The supercharger has its goods and bads im reading, but i keep reading all the other mods neccesary for the complete package... im still up in the air... anyway... just ranting now. any thoughts on the different looks ?

not a bad deal, even though there is mad time left, anyone know of a general cost on the parts needed, I have wanted the s/c for a long time, but the price has deterred me, and the fact I have to use super. even a guess would be fine.

the second gen have a bypass valve integrated into the cast body. supposedly they also run a bit cooler than the first gen. but neither of these would be enough of an issue to dissuade me from scooping up a good deal on a first gen. shouldnt for you either. spend the money you save a real fuel system, not that additional injector crap that's still stuck in the 80's before people knew how to use and program larger injectors.

I just personally prefer to add additional fuel at all of the injectors and as close to the cylinder as possible for many reasons.
The way I see it is: I want to get as even an A/F ratio accross all of the cylinders as possible. The best way to ensure this is to inject the same amount of additional fuel to each injector as close to the cylinder as possible. It just makes sense. The intake tract has alot between the additional injector and the cylinder compared to a setup with larger injectors. I also would rather replace each injector in its stock location than plumb the additional fuel line. Not that it's hard, it's just the way I would rather do it.
Ease of tuning is another reason. I'd rather "synchronize the rowing team" than tell one odd extra guy at the front of the boat how to paddle to keep the boat straight. This brings me to my next point.
God forbid something should go wrong with the piggyback additional injector controller (or it's user), you could be left with an injector creating puddles in the intake tract. And that's never a good thing. I've seen a guy with a Cobra blow his intake manifold to pieces and light his car on fire because of this.
I know injectors are expensive, but given the option I'd take it hands down.
Anyway I am sorry for jacking the thread. I am done now.
Once again, I know the 7th or 9th injector works fine, I just have problem with vocalizing my opinions. and I want to instill the sense of importance of a proper fuel system if your adding boost to those who might "forget" to do it. Too many damn Tacomas with the TRD blower and no fuel mods out there!
