Why can't anyone here record good quality clips of exhaust?

Like this one:

Record stock: idle, slowly go through rpm range, some revs, then hammer down. Repeat with new exhaust. Pretty simple, IMO. Only thing I could have down better was a drive by with each. This gives a good baseline of stock volume compared, same camera, same location, etc.

RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS...

May only work for Imagestation members, sorry.

I would LOVE to see one like that for a magnaflow and various flowmasters, etc.

If I ever get a muffler, YOU CAN BET I will do another one just like that.

You'll find plenty of exhaust clips here:

I think it'd be good to see a clip that maintained a certain RPM so you could listen for drone. I suppose I could do it but I'm too lazy

They aren't expensive... just get one.
If you don't like it, hack it off, stick on another, and sell the old one.

People have a harder time buying a muffler than they do a truck it seems. Something isn't right there.

I will at some point, just doing things slowly.

I have seen Corey's exhaust site, but he only has one flowmaster clip, and it is of marginal quality.

And yes, 25 mbs is big, but to keep the good sound quality required it.

Welcome to the board anustech. nice sound clip, wish I would have thought about that before installing my magnaflow but I didn't. I also don't think I want to wind my 3.4 out like that just for a sound clip. I do like your second exhaust on that thing though. ps. you aren't a proctologist by chance are you?

Amen brotha.

I thought it was pretty nice of me to ever make a soundclip
I don't have any fancy digital sound recording equipment to make top notch clips. You can get the idea of how it sounds from my clip though.

Magnaflow rocks, all others suck

I have heard many mufflers, and I stick by my 14" unit.

LOL, if my name were anustech, I could see how you would think that.

It is actually anestech, and I used to be an anesthesia technician. Currently a perfusion student though.

Actually, I am glad that I made that clip. In it, you can tell that the car isn't running right (there was a worse clip, but I edited that out), and I never would have noticed it had I not reved it out like that. Underload, you couldn't hear it. I put it on the dyno later, and found out it was running WAY lean. I hade it dyno tuned recently, now she purrs and makes 8 more RWHP, and 30+ more RWTQ (it was detonating and pulling timing right through the torque curve peak).

Sometimes a little abuse, goes a long way.

My ISPs free space only allows 10mbs total, and that clip is 25mb

Imagestation USED to allow anyone to access the site, member or not, then the cheap ˟˟˟˟ers changed their mind

EDIT: Here, if this will make you happy. Here's a short clip of my old jeep with Edelbrock headers, a Flowmaster 50 SUV with a turndown coming out of the muffler. http://members.cox.net/romara2/Pics/...UVturndown.WMV

It sounded WAY better with the 3" mandrel bent tailpipe and 4" tip I had, till I crushed it wheeling...

I shrunk it down to 6 mbs or so so I could put it up on my ISP space:

For those that care: http://members.cox.net/romara2/Pics/stockthengmmg.wmv

You should probably still right click, save as...
