White lettering on tires?
#44
I have the wild country RVT on my 96 and I love them. They are great on and off road. In the rain the are hard to get to let loose and I have the 3.4. Here is a pic of them http://community.webshots.com/user/joncooke83
Definetaly white in on the Wild Country's though. The white lettering on these are real big and ugly. I like the BFG size lettering, if they were like that I would mount white out.

I can't really remember, I think the ones I have are rated around 65K miles someone correct me if they know a real number. Don't take my word I'm really not that sure. If I find out i will let you know.

I just purchased a new set of Bridgestones. I decided to leave the lettering inside. Much less maintenance! No scrubbing! Just spray some "No Touch!" on the tires from time to time.
My last set of tires were BFG A/T. The letters were on the outside. What a pain to keep the white lettering clean.

Hey Jonathan, I'm curious how you got ahold of a set of Wild Country RVT in South Carolina?? Did you used to live here in the West or did you have them shipped? Or does someone other than Les Schwab sell them?
Just curious.

White out for street, black out for trail.
Before the last mod binge, I ran my old tires white out, but after rubbing the letters along a few rocks, driving on them when aired way down and generally abusing them they began to look pretty ratty. When I put the 33's on the decision was easy

I went to get new tires and the guys said that the ones I was trading in were on backwards (white lettering in). I didn't have any idea there was a difference, but there is on those, but like I said, I don't know about the ATs. I personally like the white lettering out. If you think the lettering is dirty, just used some Comet or Ajax or a cleaner powder, some water and a scrub brush and it really gets them white. They look great. :fireman:

backwards. To me white letters out means you are trying to show everybody what nifty tires you have so they can ooh and ahh and think about what they would look like on their minivan.
Black letters out means you figure on using them and don't want that stupid look of all sorts of white showing in different places on the sidewall where you got into rocks, roots, and rough stuff.
