where to put the jack in the front?

Question where to put the jack in the front?

I am planning to change my oill
But I don't know where to put the jack under there
Picture will greatly help because I am NOOB with my rig
Pllzz helppp......

P.S:I don't even know which one is lower control arm

I would venture to say that you would be able to change the oil easily enough without rasing the front end. This isn't a car. Instead of jacking the thing up, go buy some ramps for $15, or whatever they are. They can only be safer anyway.

This is my first rig
I didn't know that we don't have to jack up the front to change the oil

I assume when you use ramp , u put stopper at the rear wheel ?
where can i get ramp ? do sears, autozone have them ? price range ?

ddua,

heard of an owner's manual? the jack points are detailed in there. don't have one? then buy a chiltons or haynes at your auto parts store.

also, check the tech section here. i have a write up specifically addressing your question. also, you dont need to get ramps or jack up the truck if the following conditions apply:

- you have 16" wheels
- you're not obese and cant slide under your vehicle to remove the drain plug.

In addition to you just plain not needing them, I find ramps to be a PITA personally. I have never thought them to be as safe as carefully used jacks and jack stands either.

Lucky for you, you don't have to worry about any of this. The 4Runner is high enough off the ground where you don't need to raise it to get under it. Best of luck with your oil change...
