Where do i get these tail lights?

Hey I was looking for a new set of tail lights for my 2nd gen 4runner. Really I just wanted ones that looked like the 3rd gen 4runners. I found a website with a 4runner that has them but i haven't gotten a reply from the guy. If anyone can tell me where i can buy them, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Those look like clear tails and then he painted them red. There are a few peeps on this board that have done that.

Try this thread for starters:

Thanks. I was looking for a thread on this. I wasn't sure if there's a search or anything. I'm pretty new at this. I think I'm gonna go that way cause you're probably right.

Ok now I'm having problems finding all clear tails for a decent price. Anyone know any places? Places that don't look shady...:walk:

Hey, I remember those. I painted those clear tails for him years ago after he had seen mine. I don't know if he's a member here, maybe ODW? Maybe he'll check in, damn sweet 2nd gen.

Scruff:

About the only place you'll be able to locate clear tails would be Ebay or someone selling private since no company make or sell them anymore. Here's a link to an old Ebay auction for what your looking for:

I got an email reply from him. He told me he doesn't have it anymore. In my long search I found a couple places that carried them. $69 was the best price i found at toysport.com but it's not the most trustworthy looking website. $95 clocked in as the worst (and the only other). I'm gonna keep an eye out on ebay for a while though.

the $95 ones... yeah my search continues as none have popped up on ebay... maybe I'll break down and buy these... they seem (more) trustworthy... has anyone lost a lot of sleep looking for the parts they want... I think I've gotten obsessed... i even found a place from Japan but I don't know the yen to dollars conversion or if they would work...
