I paid around $157 each plus tax/shipping... so like maybe $650 out the door. They were definately worth it! Had them almost 4 months now and I still dig them!

i would say that the trxus mt's are far from "suck" i bought mine used and i was extremely happy with them. i drove on them for 18,000 without rotating them and they still had good tread and were barely cupping on the front of a nearly 3" lifted 4runner, i finally front to reared them and they were smooth as glass again. i ended up with about 24,000 out of mine before switching to some better shape bfg all-terrains to sell it with. i believe that if i had of properly maintained those tires i would have easily had 30,000 good miles out of them and they were just as quiet as the bfg all terrains that went on after them. off road and aired down they were great too.

I found my 37/12.50/15 MT/Rs online and then price-matched locally at SEARS and got (5) for less than $900.

Not trying to step on your toes... you're testimonial was in the minority as far as who I talked to regarding those tires. I'd say about 75% of the people who used them weren't terribly happy with them, but said they were "OK". I personally have a problem spending $600-700 for "OK".

I don't doubt this... however, I don't feel that 30K is good for a tire. I'd say maybe average or below average. I had ProComp M/T (basically the same as BFG muds) and they lasted me 53K miles... and I even gave them to someone else because there was EASILY 6-8 months of treadwear left on them. If a mud tire can make it past 40K, it's a decent tire. Past 45K, a really good tire. Past 50K, that's the best investment you can hope for. I'm not saying that TrXuS "suck"... that's not what I meant. I was merely telling this guy what others who had them had told me (in general). So, sorry if I stepped on your toes and made fun of tires that you like. I certainly didn't mean to. I don't want to get flamed... just trying to offer up some info based on the months of research I did.

That's interesting that you found so many bad reviews, on this forum, TTORA, and even Pirate they seem to get consistently good reviews especially as a dual purpose tire. The only bad thing i had to say about them was that they were very heavy, that being said my gas mileage was virtually unaffected by them as they were also larger and most of my driving was highway. However they did balance out smooth and were smooth as glass on the highway. I don't know anyone who had run them that wouldn't run them again wtih the exception of maybe Data on this board who really hated the weight of them. I have a friend of mine here locally that runs the 35's on his XJ with a longarm lift and he raves about his as well. Maybe it is an east coast/west coast thing.

I ran the Mastercraft Courser M/T which really is basically the same thing as the pro-comp as they are both made by Cooper Tire, they were smooth at first but treadlife left a lot to be desired and they sucked in the rain.

There are good and bad reviews on them. They do excellent when wheeling but the lifespan of them is pathetic and majority of them will ride horrible on the highway. I have the trxus m/t's on mine and am happy with the performance side but I wish they would have lasted longer.

Cool Whoops...

I'm an idiot...

I got to thinking... why are so many people disagreeing with me on these tires? I did so much homework and even my neighbor who has them hates them. Then I re-read the first post. I kinda missed the part where it says TrXuS M/T... M/T did you say? CRAP! This whole time I was thinking you were asking about the TrXuS STS All Terrains! What a moron I am. I apologize for getting these mixed up.

P.S. - my stance on the TrXuS STS A/T's still stands... they aren't that great.
