wheelwell/frame liner

I did a 2" body lift on my 90 4runner. now the frame is exposed and you can see thru to the other side where the frame and body gaps.

where can i find those flat panels/sheets of liner to i can use to cover up and make it look alittle better? I'm pretty sure I can cut it into shape or sizes I need.

thanks
William

NOrthwest Offroad sells replacements that are taller for body lifted rigs. Around $50 a set if I remember correctly.

yea, i was thinking about some building material stuff, like the black/gray stiff plastic that they sometimes use on the outside of a house frame. before they put up the siding or bricks.

The stuff they wrap houses with is supposed to be something like Tyvec, but it sounds like you're talking about 6 mil visqueen (used for vapor barrier under the crawl space in home construction.) Not nearly thick enough. Flapping in the breeze and pulling loose will look bad, those gaps look fine (who the heck looks into fenderwells anyhow?) but it you want to fill those gaps you need something sturdy. What you need is as thick as cardboard. Maybe rubber mats, something like that.

Susquehanna Motorsports sells 1/8 inch urethane by the square foot that should work quite well.

From what I hear, NWOR is not the best in the customer service department.

Why not try some Diamond plate, You can cut it with a jig saw and screw it to the frame.
Any DIY home center should have it

I just did a 1" RB BL and made new liners for my rig. I bought 1/16" rubber sheeting at OSH for $9.99 for like a 24"x40" sheet. I traced the old ones and an additional inch. I have pics and I am working on a writeup as we speak. I hope to have them up sometime by tomorrow. Stay tuned. They came out nice.

Ok, I'm still working on the writeup but here's a few pics of the wheel well liners I fashioned out of 1/16" bulk ruber sheet

The rear doesn't look to bad on mine after only an inch of lift. I decided that the work outweighed the benefits so I'm leaving it as-is.

However, the front needed the work:

And it looks much better this way:
